- The state health department's initiatives in chronic disease prevention and amelioration
- The policy development issues in developing a SHD initiative
- Why there shoudlbe special interest for disadvantaged populations in Public Health.
- The various programs that can reduce chronic disease prevalence in the state
- How goals and objectives are set and measured
- Various initiatives developed at the state and local levels.
- How a local health department/district becomes involved
- Management issues involved in development of these programs
- How to get power brokers(poilitician and, senior managers) to act as you desire .
